2025 RULES:

1. JUDGES’ RULING IS FINAL

2. Contestants must sign up on Sunday, August 31st by NOON and receive a number.  

3. Contestants CANNOT enter as an individual AND in a group. They must choose one category.

4. Judging commences at 1:00 pm, winners to be announced as soon as judging is complete.

5. Starting at NOON and continuing while each category is judged, contestants not being judged can “work the room” for audience votes.

6. The audience favorite will be voted on by ballot box using the assigned numbers, with voting only open between noon and 3 pm. Ballots will be available at the Cosplay table.

7. Judges will question each contestant, and contestants must be prepared to answer “in character”.

8. Original, comic book universe, video game, movie, TV show, fandom, and Anime/Manga characters are all welcome.

9. ALL WEAPONS MUST BE PROPS ONLY, AND MUST BE CHECKED AND CLEARED BY THE HEAD OF BADLANDS D&D SECURITY UPON ENTRY!  

10. Sportsmanlike and publicly appropriate behavior is expected from all contestants.

11. By entering the contest, you consent to having your cosplay likeness used in pictures/videos related to the Gathering of the Gamers events.
